From Public Service to Building a Firm That Serves Others
Bayode Agbi began his career at the Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation, where he served on federal teams auditing key government agencies. In 2006, he was seconded to the National Film and Video Censors Board as Head of Finance and Accounts, where he led the agency’s transition to a modern accounting system.
In 2010, he moved to the UK to further his education, earning an MBA (Finance) from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and an MSc in Accounting from Leeds Beckett University. While there, he worked with a chartered accounting firm that introduced him to cloud-based and outsourced accounting models.
Returning to Nigeria in 2014, he launched Pillarcraft Accounting in 2016, which later evolved into Agbi Bayode & Co—a full-service accounting firm combining traditional expertise with innovative solutions for SMEs, nonprofits, and the public sector.

Bayode Agbi – FCA, FCIT, MSc, MBA
Bayode Agbi is a visionary leader whose career spans public service and private enterprise. With an MSc in Accounting and an MBA, he has a profound understanding of financial systems. Bayode served as Assistant Director of Finance & Accounts in the Nigerian public sector, contributing significantly to the National Film and Video Censors Board. His international experience includes working with a UK chartered accounting firm, where he honed his skills in outsourced services. In 2016, he founded Pillarcraft Accounting, which evolved into Agbi Bayode & Co, a full-service firm with a focus on technology-driven solutions. Bayode is passionate about empowering SMEs, nonprofits, and public institutions through innovative financial services and digital transformation. His vision is to leverage cloud technology and automation to drive growth and efficiency in African businesses.
